Community Trail
My journey in western Wyandotte County has been a big adventure and such a blessing! Bonner Springs unknowingly adopted me from rural Leavenworth County in 2020. It immediately felt like home, to the point of intentionally investing in our communities. I began volunteering with Vaughn-Trent Community Services, and within a year, joined its Board of Directors. Six months later, I accepeted a seat on the Bonner Springs-Edwardsville Area Chamber’s Board of Directors. Shortly after, the Executive Director position became available. At the time, I was with a company for six years. Something in me was ready for a change, and I took a leap of faith! The Chamber contract was originally for three months. Flash forward, I’m four years in as the Executive Director, a decision that changed my life in more ways than I could have imagined!
Both of these roles serve Bonner Springs and Edwardsville, which showed me that we truly are one community. I quickly became a part of the Edwardsville Elementary Site Council and began creating meaningful connections. By then, it was an easy decision to run for City Council in 2023. Every stone laid built a foundation of positive impact. Eventually, being elected to Council, becoming the Director of the Tiblow Days Festival, accepting an appointment on the Bonner Springs Tourism Board, and becoming a proud Rotarian of the Bonner Springs Chapter.
Earning a seat in the Kansas House of Representatives is my commitment to again taking the next step in serving our communities. With my passion, consistency, and authenticity, I guarantee to represent District 33 with pride, respect, and for the people. Our district is at a pivotal point. We need strong leadership ready to advocate and work together in Topeka! We’ve been left out of the conversation far too many times. You can count on me to lead our District into a bright future.
